Diammonium phosphate, also known as diammonium hydrogen phosphate (DAP), is a compound fertilizer containing two nutrients: nitrogen and phosphorus. It is off-white or dark gray particles with a specific gravity of 1.619. It is easily soluble in water but insoluble in ethanol. It has a certain degree of hygroscopicity and is easily decomposed in moist air, volatile becomes ammonium dihydrogen phosphate. The aqueous solution is weakly alkaline with pH 8.0.

1.Agriculture: Highly efficient NP binary fertilizer, helps rooting and establishment in early stage. Widely used as foliar and micro-irrigation fertilizer, can also be used as feed for production of NPK water solubles.
2.Industry: Phosphorus flame retardant with good flame retarding ability. Technical MAP is also used in fire
distinguiser and is of major feed for production of macromolecular ammonium polyphosphate flame retardants.
Food additives: for production of yeast, food water retentiom agent and additives.
