Ammonium bicarbonate, is a white powder with a strong smell of a-mmonia and is easily soluble in water.
Can be used as nitrogen fertilizer, because it can be decomposed into three gases of NH3, CO2 and H2O and disappear, so it is also called gas fertilizer.  Ammonium bicarbonate is produced from a-mmonia, carbon dioxide and water.  Ammonium bicarbonate is colorless or shallow granular, plate or columnar crystal, ammonium bicarbonate is no (sulfur) acid nitrogen fertilizer, its three components are crop nutrients, does not contain harmful intermediates and final decomposition products, long-term use does not affect the soil, is one of the safest nitrogen fertilizer varieties.

Function

1.Food industry
Ammonium bicarbonate is used in the food industry as a leavening agent for flat baked goods, such ascookies and crackers, and in China in steamed buns and Chinese almond cookies. It was commonly used inthe home before modern-day baking powder was made available. In China it is called edible or food-grade"smelly powder".

2.Agriculture 
Used as nitrogen fertilizer, suitable for all kinds of soil, can provide both ammonium nitrogen and carbon dioxide for crop growth, but low nitrogen content, easy to agglomerate;  As an analytical reagent, also used in the synthesis of ammonium salts and fabric degreasing;  Used as a chemical fertilizer;  Can promote crop growth and photosynthesis, promote seedling and long leaves, can be used for topdressing, also can be used as base fertilizer directly.
