Ammonium sulfate is a kind of inorganic substance, chemical formula (NH4)2SO4, colorless crystal or white particles, odorless. Decomposition above 280ºC. Solubility in water: 70.6g at 0ºC, 103.8g at 100ºC. Insoluble in ethanol and acetone--. 0.1mol/L of water has a pH of 5.5. The relative density is 1.77. Refractive index 1.521. Ammonium sulfate is used primarily as a fertilizer and is suitable for a variety of soils and crops. It can also be used in textile, leather, medicine and so on.
