Zinc sulfate monohydrate has been widely used in feed additives, chemical industry, national defense, fertilizer, mineral processing, pharmaceutical, rubber, electronics, printing and dyeing agent, bone glue clarifying agent and protective agent, electroplating, prevention of fruit tree diseases and insect pests and circulating cooling water treatment, viscose fiber and nylon fiber and other fields. It is the raw material for making zinc salt and zinc barium white. It is used for galvanizing cable and electrolyzing pure zinc in electrolysis industry. Also used in wood and leather preservative and artificial fiber industry. The food grade is used as a nutritional supplement (zinc fortification).
