Function

Lactose is mainly used to make baby food.
In addition to providing energy to the body, lactose has physiological significance different from other sugars. Lactose in the human stomach is not digested and absorbed, but direct to the intestine. Lactose is easily broken down into glucose and galactose by lactase in the human intestine for absorption. Galactose is a glycolipid component of brain and nerve tissue, which is very important for the intellectual development of infants. It can promote the production of cerebral glycosides and mucopolysaccharides.
Lactose can promote the formation of some lactic acid bacteria in the human intestine, inhibit the growth of putrefying bacteria, and contribute to intestinal peristalsis. Lactose is often fortified in baby foods because lactic acid helps absorb calcium and other substances that prevent rickets.

Application

1.Spraying a natamycin solution of 300mg/L in ethanol on the cake can protect it from the mold growth and extend its shelf life.
2.Dipping the sausage in 300mg/L natamycin aqueous suspension can prevent it from mold growth and slime or sticky surface development.
3.Adding 5-10mg/L natamycin in wine,fruit and vegetable juices can prevent them from spoilage and extend their shelf life.
4.Spraying natamycin suspension of 300mg/L in water on the surface of cheese can prevent the cheese from mold growth and extend its shelf life.
